Very friendly staff! Rooms were clean when we arrived. Only issue was the hair dryer; but when we asked for a replacement, they sent it up immediately. The bellman, Michael was awesome! Spoke to us whenever he saw us, and even gave us hugs when we left!

The rooftop bar has a great selection of drinks and several appetizers. The service was friendly and accommodating. Happy hour offers $6 beer, house wine and well drinks.

A little noisy (street noise) including church bells going off at 2am (11 double chimes!) and then again several times during the night. Probably tough to get somewhere quiet in NYC. I was a little miffed that the very helpful gentleman downstairs got me a taxi for $85 “all in including tip” (to Newark) only to have the driver (upon arrival at Newark) tell me the $85 didn’t include the tip. Rip off. They must have been in cahoots.

Went to the monarch rooftop bar located on the 18th floor. The atmosphere was really modern and cool. Went there for a birthday where we reserved a table in the back . The waitress was really attentive and was really good about checking in on us. The drinks were also not too expensive for a place in the city, and they were really good quality. Would definitely go again
